MAINHAUS HONEY FROM MAINHAUS BEES

In our hotel garden, there are three beehives in which our smallest hardworking employees live: around 210,000 bees that produce delicious honey.

A professional beekeeper is responsible for looking after our bees. He takes care of all tasks related to the hive and honeycomb throughout the beekeeping year. The highlight of beekeeping is the production of honey, which is carried out in accordance with the legally prescribed quality requirements for German honey. His honey has already been awarded gold and silver by the Hessian Beekeepers Association and our honey has already received silver for the first harvest.

The quality, purity, scent and taste of the mainhaus Stadthotel honey are so excellent because our bees feed on the flower meadow in our garden, as well as on the meadows in the grounds around our hotel and on the banks of the Main. Our honey is based on a holistic natural concept. This means that social, ecological and economic aspects are brought into harmony with one another.

Did you know that a bee flies about 85km per day? A bee collects its nectar within a radius of 5km. 70,000 bees can live in a beehive. A bee weighs 0.1g.
